In the past centuries, millions of men, women and children have died from genocide. Millions have been tortured, forced from their homes, gassed, and shot. These are some significant genocides in the past.
Armenia
Armenians living in the Ottoman Empire were deported and executed because of the orders of the government. They even had there own concentration camps that killed more than 1 million Armenians, Assyrians and Greeks.
The Holocaust
The Germans killed over 6 million Jews to "purify" there country. They held concentration camps to kill the Jews by making them work, then killing them.
Rwanda
Rwandan president's plane was shot down. His death started a campaign of violence against Tutsi and Hutu civilians.
